THE BUZZ!
June 2016 Honored to direct Justice Theatre Project's smash hit production of RAGTIME. Our company of 65 strong nearly blew the roof off the theatre while busting box office records. What a "Success!"
April 2016 MACBETH at Wesleyan College. Always a terrific challenge to work on the Bard. Congrats to the cast and crew for dragging the Scottish King kicking and screaming into the 21st Century.
February 2016 ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID was one of the easiest shows I've ever directed, due to the professionalism and talent of all involved at Temple Theatre. It was also more fun that we should be allowed to have!
November 2015 Overjoyed to have been cast as Mitch Albom in The Justice Theatre Project's TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE opposite the wonderful John Honeycutt, directed by Andy Hayworth. Get your tickets now for a February 2016 run of laughter and a few hankie moments.
October 2015 Choreographed the swordfight plus other combat for Fayetteville State University's production of HAMLET. Thanks to Jeremy Fiebig for the opportunity to work with these enthusiastic students on the best of the Bard.
July 2015 More fun with AESOP'S FABLES at the Carrboro Arts Center. What great kids.
June 2015 Raleigh's Theatre in the Park presents EQUIVOCATION, by Bill Cain, directed by Yours Truly. Thank you Ira David Wood III for trusting me with this magnificent play that combines Shakespeare and The Gunpowder Plot.
April 2015 This month I launched my pet project, REMEMBORIZE, a line memorization system I developed. Over 60 participants came to the inaugural event, with more to come. Thanks to all the great actors in the Triangle who participated in the commercial, you rock!
January 2015 It is an honor to continue my work as a Standardized Patient Actor and Duke, Elon, and Campbell Universities. We aren't acting for applause here, but to help better train our health care providers of the future. September 2014 Back to directing one of my favorite comedies of all time, THE 39 STEPS, at the Boykin Center in Wilson. What a perfect venue for this high-energy romp. Great cast, I'm a lucky fellow! August 2014 A summer packed full of LET'S MAKE A PLAY kid camps at The ArtsCenter. 4 sessions this year, the most ever. We had a ball with HILDA'S SECRET, SCHOOL RULES, and THE 12 DANCING PRINCESSES. Way to go, Campers! July 2014 More fun with Carrboro ArtsCenter's 10 x 1o short play festival. THIS IS NOT A PLAY was quite a play! Thank you, Page and Jillian, for all the laughter, onstage and off. November 2013 Excited to have been chosen to direct GREY GARDENS for Justice Theatre Project in June 2014. So honored to be a part of this extraordinary work. October 2013 Gearing up to direct an adaptation of my favorite novel, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, at the Boykin Center in Wilson. Adam Twiss stars as Atticus Finch. Can't wait for us to "get in these character's skins and walk around a while." September 2013 Pleased to report that the production of THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB I directed at Temple Theatre broke their box office records for a straight play! Congrats to the five lovely ladies and an A+ crew. August 2013 The culmination of 2 years of work: 1200 people attended my commissioned play THE LIGHT OF THE LAKE at Lake Junaluska to celebrate its Centennial. Special thanks to the cast and Melodie Galloway's Lake Junaluska Singers for bringing so many to tears and to their feet with your talents. July 2013 Spent the summer at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro with LET'S MAKE A PLAY classes. SCHOOL RULES! and AESOP'S FABLES were big hits!
